One to one therapy can operate by meeting face to face, or by telephone, email or a combination of all three.
We find that the prime reason for choosing individual therapy is so that the client can focus exclusively on their own issues and explore their options for change in seclusion. For example, this approach is particularly useful for phobic conditions where clients often expect that others will find their phobia trivial or ridiculous and this can be applicable to performance anxiety in certain cases.
Other conditions which have been treated successfully using the combined techniques of Brief Therapy are:
- Lack/loss of confidence
- General anxiety
- Weight management
- Phobias e.g flying, spiders, social and many more
- Habit breaking e.g nail biting
- Performance anxiety
- Skin conditions
- Driving test nerves
